Historical Achievements
1984 : COHM open its doors and launched the service!
1988 : COHM developed "remote" transferable technology to an on-site storage unit using fax and phone lines.
1990 : The first generation of remote transfer announcers was presented to the market with the help of Premier Technology which stored audio information into digital memory.
1991 : COHM incorporated "Voice Prompt" digital audio processing. COHM required high speed efficiency in recording, and formatting compatibility. The introduction of BitWorks Audio stepped up our services to its full potential in the 90s.
1995 : Memory storage chips were changed to non-volatile "flash" memory storage
1996 : COHM introduced the development of SMTP (Simultaneous Multiple Transfer Processing). This allowed COHM to transfer audio programs simultaneously to multiple locations. Hundreds of locations could receive audio updates within hours of completion.
1999 : With years of data compilation, COHM developed the capability for COHM users to create on hold scripts by selecting from hundreds of industry categories and message examples over the internet.
2004 : COHM launched its new generation of digital voice recording services to integrate with character voicing for Standard and Speech Recognition Voice Prompts. This provided a smooth transition to meet the demands for IVR systems and Auto Attendants.
2009 : COHM created a service designed specifically for VOIP (Voice Over IP) users. The creative development offers VOIP users to select COHM to design and develop a customized approach of how a caller is transferred with virtual PBX. This also includes customized voicing and On Hold messaging as part of COHM’s VOIP Services.
2011 : COHM introduced the newest technology for our clients wanting to use the On Hold Service. The new internet based unit does not interfere with phone lines and can be monitored from our Head Office server. Worry free and hands free!
